It can help you lower your blood pressure and loose weight. But it doesn't stop there- there are so many health benefits- it can help with your heart, with metabolic syndrome, type II diabetes, your cholesterol levels and even improve your mental health. The diet focuses on fresh fruits, veggies, beans, whole grains and nuts. The book offers tips for having the best experience doing the DASH diet such as keeping a journal, going on walks, having green veggies at every meal, adding spices and being vegan once a week. This kind of diet I would need to maintain it for several months along with medication to see any results. The recipes I’ve tried so far are delicious, I gave this purchase a 4 out of 5 rating because there are too many recipes that do not align with type diabetics.
